Château Eza

Clinging to a cliff top overlooking the Côte d’Azur, Château Eza is a 400 year old stone castle built within the city walls of Eze, a thousand–year–old medieval village 1,300 feet above the Mediterranean Sea. The summer residence of Prince William of Sweden until 1953, it has been transformed into a most enchanting, small hotel.

Ancient stonework, some of which dates back nearly a thousand years, characterises the village of Eze, in which tiny cobbled streets pass under stone arches and pretty artisan shops line the winding alleyways. Arriving at the Château is an adventure akin to stepping back in time.

Most rooms and all suites feature private balconies with truly breathtaking views and some even feature charming fire places. Stone walls, venerable oak doors and a décor that brings to mind the Four Musketeers are to be found throughout.
